Design:- Aluminium and composite product ranges are designed to comply with BS4873: 1986 Specification for aluminium alloy windows, PVCu product ranges are designed to comply with BS7412 specification for Plastic Windows made from PVCu Extruded Hollow Profiles.
Materials:- Aluminium is extruded to BS1474 - Specification for Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys for general engineering purposes - using 6063 T6 Alloy. PVCu is high impact acrylic modified material blended and extruded to the recommendations of BS7413 for type A material.
Finishing:- Aluminium is pre-treated then finished using Polyester Powder in accordance with BS6496 - Specification for Powder Organic Coatings or Anodised to BS3987 - Specification for Anodic Oxidation Coatings on wrought aluminium for external architectural applications. PVCu is a solid white finish. Woodgrain is pre-treated and foiled.
Performance:- Samples of all products are submitted for Air and Water Penetration and Wind Load Testing in accordance with BS6375 Part 1, and tested in accordance with the relevant parts BS5368 Part 1, 2 and 3.
Quality:- Extrusions are BS - EN - ISO - 9000: 1994 Registered (BS5750)
Glass and Glazing:- Beads and Gaskets meet the requirements of BS6262 code of practice for glazing and buildings. Glass shall conform to the requirements of BS6262 and part N of the Building Regulations for thickness and type.
Sealed units are hermetically sealed and manufactured on our own premises. Samples have undergone testing and satisfied the following performance requirements as specified in BS5713;
High Humidity Cycling Test: PASS
Fogging Test by Ultraviolet Exposure: PASS
Reinforcing:- All PVCu products are internally reinforced. The amount and type of reinforcing required varies depending on each application. Aluminium reinforcement is extruded from alloy type 6063 - T6 to BS1474: 1987 wrought aluminium and aluminium alloys for general engineering purposes.
Galvanised steel reinforcement is roll formed from material to BS2989: 1991 specification for continuously hot dip zinc coated and iron-zinc alloy coated steel; wide strip, sheet/plate and slit wide strip with a G275 coating.
